The Sound of the Parade: Lytham Club Day.
Today is Lytham Club Day, and while the streets a few miles away are alive with the annual procession and crowds, here in St Annes things feel calm and collected.
Saturday is always a busy day for a hotelier, but there’s a rhythm to it that keeps everything running smoothly. Breakfast service, changeovers, and check-ins all flow in a way that allows guests to enjoy the comfort of their rooms or a quiet moment before stepping out to explore.
Even though I’m tied to the house during the morning rush, I get to experience the parade through our guests’ excitement. Many return with stories, photos, and the joy of having witnessed the floats and festivities.
It’s moments like these that remind me why guests choose The Claremont: a calm, welcoming base where the coast is just outside the door, and the bustle of the day can be left behind. Seeing smiles, hearing laughter, and knowing guests feel at ease makes the Saturday bustle worth it.
Until next time,
The Fylde Hotelier
