My Little Coffee Pause at The Claremont.

Sometimes, life at The Claremont here in St Annes is a whirlwind. Between greeting new faces at the door, keeping breakfast service running smoothly, and those last-minute room checks, the "to-do" list never really ends. This week has been particularly busy as we get everything ready for the summer season.

But even in the busiest weeks, I have my ritual: The Little Coffee Pause.

It’s nothing fancy, just a warm cup of coffee and the soft morning light spilling across the breakfast room tables. These are stolen moments, brief pauses before the morning rush kicks in.

From my spot, I watch early walkers making their way down the streets of St Annes, the town gradually shaking off sleep and coming to life. There’s something grounding about the calm of the coast at this hour. That simple sip of coffee becomes more than just caffeine; it’s a moment to breathe, plan the day ahead, and quietly appreciate why we do what we do.

When you visit us this summer, you’ll likely see me in full whirlwind mode, but know that the energy and care we pour into your stay starts right here, in these quiet, sunlit moments of a St Annes morning.

In the coming blogs, I’ll take you behind the scenes of preparing The Claremont for our guests, from the little details in the rooms to the breakfast treats that make the mornings special, you won’t want to miss it.

Until next time,

The Fylde Hotelier
